Chiefs Set Camp Dates For St. Joe

The dates and times for the Chiefs first return to Missouri for training camp were announced by the team Monday.

After 19 years at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, the Chiefs will be at Missouri Western State University in St. Joe beginning with a practice on Friday, July 30th. They will hold their final practice on Thursday, August 19th.

In between there are plenty of opportunities for fans to see their team. There will be 24 practices on 16 days in the club’s three week sojourn north. There are two night practices scheduled (August 4 and 18) and a Family Fun Day/Scrimmage (afternoon of August 7.)

Here’s how it all breaks down practice-wise, with day, date, number of workouts and times:

  • Friday, July 30 (1) – 1:50 to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 31 (2) – 8:50-11 a.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, August 1 (1) – 1:50 to 4 p.m.
  • Monday, August 2 (2) – 8:50-11 a.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, August 3 (1) – 1:50 to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 4 (2) – 8:50 to 11 a.m. and 7:15 to 9:15 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 5 (1) – 1:50 to 4 p.m.
  • Friday, August 6 (2) – 8:50-11 a.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 7 (1) – Intrasquad Scrimmage 1:30-3:30 p.m.
  • Monday, August 9 (2) –8:50-11 a.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, August 10 (1) – 1:50 to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 11 (2) – 8:50-11 a.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, August 15 (1) – 1:50 to 4 p.m.
  • Monday, August 16 (2) –8:50-11 a.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, August 17 (1) – 1:50 to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday, August 18 (2) – 8:50-11 a.m. and 7:15 to 9:15 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 19 (1) – 1:50 to 4 p.m.

During their time in St. Joe, the Chiefs will not practice on August 8, 12, 13 or 14. Two of those days they will be in Atlanta for their pre-season opener against the Falcons.

Everything is subject to change.

Admission is free to all practices save the Family Fun Day when there is a $10 admission, with children three years and under free. There will be premium parking locations for all practices that will be sold for $10 per spot, per day. There are other free parking options available.

If weather forces the Chiefs to practice indoors, those workouts will be closed to the public.
