What They Say About John Dorsey

Oakland Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie:

“He’s a good one; one of the truly good guys in our game. He’s in a good situation too. He’s able to reconnect with Andy. I’ve known him since 1994 when John, Ted Thompson, John Schneider and I were all in our infancy in scouting under Ron Wolf. John and I are friends for life; that’s what this profession does. It’ll be nice to see him twice a year. Don’t get me wrong, you love your brother, but sometimes you also have to whoop up on him. Kansas City can’t ask for any better than John Dorsey.”

Miami offensive coordinator Mike Sherman:

“John Dorsey is one of the best talent evaluators I’ve ever been around. He’s been doing this for a long time and has a proven track record of success. What makes John so good is that he is extremely passionate about what he does. He leaves no stone-unturned when he evaluates players. His research is extensive and productive. He’s a true man of character.”

Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson:

“I would like to thank John Dorsey for his 27 years of service to the Green Bay Packers, first as a player and later as a member of the personnel department. John has been a loyal member of the Packers family and the Green Bay community for more than half of his life. The Chiefs have hired a good man and John has earned this opportunity.”

Even after Pioli…I’m giving Reid/Dorsey/Hunt the benefit of the doubt. This has to be the right stuff…this time?

The differance in Pioli/Dorsey was repeated in every interview today. The key word was…ego.Listen to the interviews again, all had the word ego.The fans didn’t want to hear that from Whitlock & others at the time of Pioli’s hire. The theme today… we well work together. Now it seem Pioli was my way …because look at my record with the Pats. You people just don’t have a clue …look at your record. For all of Whitlock dumb mistates,he had this one right.Time after time… teams have hired people from the Pats.Ever one of them have fail…because the one pulling all of the strings is the HC.

Well except the GM at Atlanta but maybe the Pats didn’t make the differance there.
