i remember at least last year him missing most of the OTA’s. i was also surprised that nobody picked up on that. i kinda thought i must have remembered it wrong since no media circles picked that up…but now that i think of the sensationalist media, it makes perfect sense. they just wanted to sell newspapers and keep their jobs. they still r not reporting any news that BW never goes to OTA’s.

Waters says he skips voluntary OTA’s every year…There must be someone who has the time, resources, and motivation to dig through some archives of last year’s off season blogs and see if Waters was noted as being present or missing. I would find it hilarious if indeed Waters misses these activities every year, and nobody in the press took the time to check into that before they made a big story out of it. Waters seems fine to me, he’ll ride out his contract like a good soldier IMO.

I just hope Waters puts out enough effort and plays at his level. If he wants out of here and has to stay for the year fine, as long as he produces. Our Right side of the line was awful last year at best, and is the reason for all of our offensive woes. We need to revamp the right side, which has been half way completed. Hopefully we can pick up a right tackle this offseason. We are pretty solid from LT to RG,with some questions at center. RT is our biggest team need in my opinion.

Whether everything BW said was completely true may be up for debate. I feel, however, that he’s trying to say the right things and is here to be a Chief. I’m quite okay with welcoming him back and looking forward to he and Albert anchoring the left side of the line.

Im sorry ALL, but I am 100 percent seeing a different story.

Waters is going to be moved, I wasnt sure of it before, but after those comments he made, I am positive of such things, and if he isnt moved, I will be bummed, Waters sounds like a different person, and to say he didnt know about the charity function…CMON, over THIRTY chiefs attended….

Glad he’s here. Welcome BW. How cool for him to see the change in the organization and how hard the players are working to win. If that has not hit him yet, it will sometime in the next few days during mandatory OTAs. By the end of these, I think he will come around and WANT to be here, WANT to be a chief CHIEF again.

He’s a winner at heart. A worker. Now he gets to see that everyone else is too and he’s behind. I think it will motivate him! I mean, third string OL. That should motivate him!

Interesting.

Doesn’t really sound like he’s too happy to be there…or that he’s commited to being a Chief. Maybe that will change with some time.

I like the sound of this, though:

“From what I understand these guys have been working intensely hard,” Waters said. “There’s no way you can do the same thing. I’ve been doing what I need to do to maintain. I feel like I definitely have to improve my workouts going into training camp.”

Sounds like our guys are in shape…even if he isn’t.

Not sure I believe his excuse for missing the First Downs event, either.

I’m still left guessing what is on Brian Waters mind. He is a Chief today, sounds like there’s a door somewhere still open.
To say that he was unaware of the fundraiser, both the day & time seems incredulous to me.
Either way, I am glad he is participating.
