Weis, Crennel, Haley, and Pioli will be able to get off to a head start in terms of evaluating the personnel and craft a game plan for FA and the draft. The biggest thing is watching how the CBA plays out as that will have an effect on how the Chiefs draft. Hopefully, it gets resolved so that we can go about fixing the team and contending in 2010. Dropping down to, say, Buffalo's slot and picking up another pick or two would not be a bad scenario, but not too far down. The evaluation of talent is obviously the key to any draft and if the Chiefs have hopes of more wins in 2010, highly astute evaluation has to be the order of the day. First I want Haley to get his kind of player, then I want OC and DC to get their kind of player. There are so many empty spots the combinations could please everyone and nobody at the same time. What I do not want is a repeat of last years draft. A 4-12 team does not need to get players who need years to develope. It is flat stupid to say this team needs years to put better players on the field. Sorry do not know names but Pioli better do his thing and get better supporting players for Haley. Either way, it's over and now we must look to 2010 draft. Weis and Crennel will have plenty of time to sit around and watch film of this year's Chiefs. They will get more than a month before even free agency starts so it's not like we're going to be caught with our pants down on this one. The team will be fully ready to sign who we need and to scout the rookies that matter most on our board. After April has been said and done, we will be rating each team's draft on Bobgretz.com and the Chiefs will be in the top 5 offseasons. I can't wait to see our second round picks. we have 36 and 52. Those are worth 540 and 400 points respectively in the draft points chart. That means both those picks are worth a round 1 pick 17th pick.. what do you guys think? get two potential starters in second round, or get a sure-fire top tier talent at the bottom of the first round?
