I wouldn’t hate the O-Line pick, but your thinking is completely moronic. We were very average offensively last season. And we were pathetic defensively. I mean, if our defense had made actual stops more often, our offense would benefit from having more time on the field and better starting position.

Chiefs really should go defensive with this pick, but I wouldn’t freak with either Crabtree or one of the tackles. But that’s only because I don’t love who’s at the top of the board defensively.

I agree that #3 MAY not be a a RT. I think Smith/Monroe at LT, Albert at LG, Waters at C, Rudy at RG and take a serious look at Richardson at RT is a worthy idea.

The O line needs fixing to be sure, but I’d rather see the Chiefs trade down a few spots, get an extra pick or two, and nab a pass rusher or an elite LB later on.

Keep this scenario in mind: Philly has two first round picks (21 and 28) and they may be in the market for an OT since Tra Thomas departed in FA and Jon Runyan is near the end of the line, OR a WR like Crabtree to give McNaab a legit #1 target. Philly saw first hand in the playoffs how an elite WR (ie L-Fitz) can take over a game. Perhaps we trade the #3 pick and LJ to Philly for their pair of firsts and either another pick (like a 4th rounder) or a reclamation project like WR Reggie Brown or OG Max Jean Gilles.

#3 will not be a RT. The LT picked at #3 will not be asked to switch positions. Brandon Albert will be moved to LG and Waters will be traded for a draft pick. (Just a guess, IF OTs Smith and Monroe are still there at #3– they may both be gone by #3 though.)

If we can get a guy who can pass-protect and run-block…then I say “pay the man”.

It’s not a glamorous pick, for sure. And I know we need Defense, badly. But let’s face it, we could have the most Badass D in the league…and still not win many games. To win games, you must score points. To score points, you need run blocking. Ours sucks. To score points, you must have pass protection. Ours sucks. You have to give the man some time to look over the field…and give the receivers some time to get open. You can’t have your QB running for his like the second he gets his hands on the ball.

Games are won and lost on the lines. I know our D-line needs help, but our O-line needs it worse.

That being said…I’d still take Curry if he’s there at #3. I just don’t think he will be. Either way, we’re going to HAVE to get the O-line upgraded. Until we can start running the ball effectively again, and keep our QB off his back…we’re not going to win very many games. Period.

Baby it’s cold ‘inside’ where the Chiefs draft is subject to a new open window policy (door having already been closed on the media and gray, floor refuge cassel, fly by night QB’s for the team be those ‘messers’ -not Mssrs.- piolee & checkpoint hailee be preparing to leap while the gettin out is still good…for they haven’t a clue as their misdeeds to date verify.

I don’t see them doing that, but it is a possibility should Curry be taken already.

Detroit needs a franchise QB. Fans need a reason to watch Detroit on Thanksgiving day. They should be kicked out of the NFL, if they do not take Stafford or Sanchez. Heck, I’d understand if they picked the best LT, but LB…morons if they do.

For the Chiefs at #3 – best case scenario, trade down and pick E. Brown, M. Oher, Moreno or Maclin. But, if they’re stuck at #3, I’d be happy with Monroe, JSmith, Curry, even Crabtree.

Seattle needs a franchise QB, too. Wouldn’t be surprised to see them pick Stafford or Sanchez.

I’m sure you will do a deeper analysis of the Chiefs potential picks as the draft approaches, so I just wanted to throw this question into the mix.

No way will the Rams take Stafford. Not with the money they’re already paying Bulger. I do think there’s a very good chance that the Lions will take Curry. And if they don’t…I also think there’s a pretty good chance that the Rams will take him, and address their O-line in later rounds. So, pretty much what Bob already said. Trying to guess what the Chiefs will do, though…is next to impossible. But, I like that. Why tip your hand?

1. I do not know anything about the G from Chicago Metcalf. But if we are picking up players as we go then sign him to get him here and see what he can do.
2. The only name on this list that jumps at me is Joe Jurevicius, he has good experiance and IMO is a good posetion receiver. He played for TB and I think he was part of their SB TEAM. He could be a good mentor for our “kids”.
3. There are many of us that have Questioned the pick up of Travis Daniels and maybe “they” are gathering some under the radar players. Then maybe that should continue. We can pick up some cast off OL with low mileage. Put them into the yatzee cup, shake , and see how they work together. Just because the player is one coaches “trash” doesn’t mean he can’t be another coaches “treasure”.
4. What is the back up plan for Curry not being on the board @ #3? An OT on the

Detroit: QB Stafford. Lions are the Lions, afterall.
