Pre-Season Week #4 Roundup

Nothing is forgotten quicker than the final pre-season game. That’s not fair to many players who have outstanding moments or games, so we decided to go-ahead and remember the plays and players who stood above in week No. 4 of the pre-season.

One note – as you go through the plays and players realize that most of the names are also on the waiver wire right now; even a great moment couldn’t save them a spot on the roster.

Pittsburgh RB Jonathan Dwyer ran 20 times for 86 yards vs. Carolina.

San Francisco RB Anthony Dixon ran 12 times for 80 yards, including a 46-yard TD vs. San Diego.


St. Louis QB Sam Bradford – 6 for 6, 68 yards, 1 TD and a 153.5 passer rating.

N.Y. Giants QB Eli Manning – 7 of 9 for 91 yards, 1 TD, passer rating of 145.8.

Cincinnati QB Jordan Palmer – 10 of 14 for 114 yards, 2 TDs, a passer rating of 135.1

Indianapolis QB Tom Brandstater – 10 of 18 for 178 yards, 2 TDs, 129.1 passer rating.

Washington QB Ron Bartel – 12 of 14 for 125 yards, 1 TD and a passer rating of 127.7

Minnesota LB Erin Henderson 35-yard fumble return for TD vs. Denver. He also had nine tackles, one sack and two recovered fumbles.

Buffalo CB Drayton Florence 40-yard INT return for TD vs. Detroit.

Indianapolis LB Pat Angerer 12 total tackles vs. Cincinnati.


Seattle RB Louis Rankin returned a kickoff 99 yards for a TD vs. Oakland.

San Diego WR Jeremy Williams returned a punt 93 yards for a TD vs. San Francisco

St. Louis P Donnie Jones kicked four times and averaged 52.5 yards per punt.

Dallas K David Buehler was 4 for 4 on FGs, good from 51, 45, 40 and 31 yards.

    that was discouraging, KC is only mentioned once, allowing one of the longest plays. But we did get to see some sacks this pre-season – that was nice for a change.
