Alex, it’s good to follow a team and believe yes, but to be blinded enough about the state of the team that you actually believe they can block the Ravens Defense for the run or the pass is ludicrous. The chiefs will probably have to run slants all day to avoid being sacked a ton…

I hope Haley does this all season. Have Matt as questionable, give no info. The 3 QB’s are all so different, so even a few minutes a team has to waste, preparing for the possibility of the other 2 helps us.

The one point I would like to make is why is everyone so scared of Bmore? They are not hands down better than anyone else in the league! I think Haley will make the right decision of who will give the best chance to win the game. Cassel is obviously showing his teamates how to be tough and is showing a great amount of leadership by practicing hurt. I think we will have a tougher more disciplined team than last year with a few talent upgrades and only one loss of Tony G. GO CHIEFS GO CHIEFS P.S. Rin sucks, of course Herm has already admitted to that!

Hopefully if Cassell isn’t healthy enough to move in the pocket, scramble, and throw off that leg Haley will just let him sit out this one and heal up more and just play him against the Raiders. It is good to hear he’s making progress. I just hope they don’t rush him back. This is just week 1 of the season no need to bring him back soon if its going to risk long term effects down the road. Its a long season so I just hope they try to be very catious on how soon to bring this guy back.

I don’t want Cassel hurt, either. With him in, I feel we’ll have a chance to win. Not just the Ravens game…but every game. Unfortunately, I have very little confidence in ANY of our other QB’s to come in and actually be a leader, and win games.

Totally agree if something major was wrong he wouldn’t play. But given our back-ups lack of success and the state of our O-Line if Cassel isn’t ready to take a hit I would rather see the #2 in as well and have Cassel for most of the season as we know the Chiefs short of a miracle are not going to the playoffs and need to get something out of this season aside from musical QB’s like last year playing whoever wasn’t hurt. I think we had like 6 different QB’s on the roster.

I have to disagree. If Cassel can go…he needs to be in there. Guys play at less than 100% all the time. Which is not to say, I want to put him in there ready or not.

Yes, the Ravens have a great Defense. But so does Philly, the Giants, and Steelers…just to name a few we’ll face early on. Should we sit guys who aren’t 100% for those games, too?

If there’s no significant risk or re-injury…I say play Cassel. The doctors and trainers are well qualified to make that call, I’m sure. But, I just can’t see sitting the guy because we’re playing the “big bad” Ravens, and afraid he’ll get hurt.

Minnesota cut Bobby Wade for some strange reason. Maybe because they have a faster version of him in Percy Harvin. Wade would be a fantastic pickup for the Chiefs. He’s still just 28, is a reliable pass catcher, AND is a solid punt returner to boot! Hopefully Pioli puts in a waiver claim for this guy and cuts one of the LBs to make room.

The Ravens will eat any and all Chiefs’QBs if our OL cannot get their act together. BP is correct, if Cassel is not 100 %, bench him for game #1. There are 15 more coming and he can help then.

I expect to lose to the Raven by 6 points. I cannot see a TD based on the preseason. Sickening but the future is still positive.

Bob uses Wordpress and it’s a simple change to require logins. It’s also a simple change to blacklist certain users and/or ip addresses. It needs to be done.

Regarding Cassel: I hope the Chiefs don’t send him to the wolves if he’s not 100%. The Ravens will eat him alive, especially with our O-line as it is now. I know he gives us the best chance to win, but I’d like to have him for the rest of the season too.

The Chiefs pulled off a big win in Baltimore a few years ago. Maybe, just maybe, they can do it again.
