Jim, I dont believe that giving the TE the ball in the backfield would be a smart idea. For one the TE’s we have are not quick, they are big but wouldn’t be able to get out of the backfield before being hit, plus just because your big doesn’t mean you can’t be tackled, look at Brandon Jacobs..

Four TE’s , They are all huge , Give them the ball and let them block for themself’s .
There isen’t a linebacker in the NFL that can’t stop any Chief’s RB with ONE hand .
Someone that’s 6′ 8″ and weight’a 280lbs , that’s another story .

Well really I think they should give Cottam the job back, I haven’t seen anything from the TE’s that have been brought in that makes me think that they are better, just Herm’s player…

Brad Cottan, is a hard hitter and hard to bring down . He used to play a lot of basketball and could possibly plow or weave his way thu linebacker’s .A few day’s with the RB coach , might give the team a 6 yard RB ?

Thanks “Jimbo”, I was hoping to see big improvement last week which mads the loss all the more dishearting. I am sure most all the players feel the same way, I just hope they rebound and show improvement after the bye week. GO CHIEFS!

Good one “Jimbo”, I too view the glass 1/2 full. At least Haley/Pioli do make moves with players trying to right ship so to speek, although a little slow in some areas they are trying.

Me? I’m just going to try to focus on the positives from now on…although they’re few and far between. I’ve done enough pissing and moaning already to last the whole season. I’ve come to realize…it’s not helping much.

Matt Cassel just purchased the DVD “From here to Eternity”
Me, I’m trying to figure out how I can be happy about not taking the Chiefs so seriously the rest of the year.
How is the hope & change of 2009 working out for the rest of you?…
I still love my Chiefs.

Well…I wasn’t shocked. Just a little surprised. Usually, someone is always interested in a guy with speed. Al Davis, maybe?

Hopefully, with this second chance Lawrence will bust his ass…and do what it takes to get that playing time. You can’t get game experience if you can’t get into the game.

I like the kid, though. I want to see him make it.

Don’t be surprised that Q didn’t get picked up. He was a 6th round pick that couldn’t get PT with one of the shallowest group of WRs in the NFL (our #2, #3, #4, #5, and #6 WRs were all cut by other teams over the last 12 months).

Also, an even more important factor is that other teams have young guys too that they are invested in and would be hard pressed to swap out.

I’m glad to see Lawrence back. The kid has some potential…but needs a lot of work. I’m a little surprised he cleared waivers.

I also like the way Long looked Sunday. Could be a good little receiver. Although I’m already tired of the Wes Welker comparisons. Long has a ways to go before he’s in Welker’s league.

Good that Albert is back…and that Rudy’s knee doesn’t appear to be serious.
