Geeze: I remember E. Manning's first year , Todd's a step ahead of him , that's the problem , there's a lot of catching up to do .
Some of these QB's are down the road or what would you say up and running .
Sure there's a couple guy's that are on the ground starting out , but they also have team's that have done a little bit more going in .
I think that being mentally sharp is 100 time's better than using a term like "rebuilding" .
Don't like it and I don't it fit's football .

not sure he cleaned it up or if the person just gave up because its kind of tough to kick the people here when we're down since....we're still here...

regardless, I dont agree Cassel couldve done more, well, of course he couldve I mean anyone can say that after a game, but considering he was hurt, didnt even have bowe playing with the 1's consistantly...there was no timing...the OL had him running for his life and his 2 int's were due to planting on his knee and...timing

hes also hit two fades that are gorgious touch passes, how many times did thigpen attempt and fail? seriously?

the guy is a leader, he can run if we need it and can throw the ball on a rope...he hasnt gone downfield because we havent been calling those plays and our OL allows a 1-2 step drop and still gives up 3 sacks. Yes they could go to a spread constantly, but then our OL never gets better...example, Albert this season and how he regressed.

I think being harsh on cassel...too early, and really his top reciever has been a guy we signed the week he had to start. That means he had no prior experience throwing him the football.

I dunno Dan, after acquiring Seymour he's given then one good half vs San Diego, since he been a no-sho except for pulling Claddy's hair and getting fined $7,500 by the league. It didn't take long, but it appears Seymour has gone Raider.

Bob,

Thanks for cleaning up the commnet board....it was getting pretty bad....

To me the biggest question on the Chiefs is the offensive line....there should have been more moves here in draft and free agent then what we have now....maybe the raiders were right in the seymour deal....although that is hard to swallow...

Cassel certainly could have done more to help his team win. This team cannot overcome two interceptions in a game no matter who they are playing. It was his first regular season game in some time though. Cassel does show great promise and it is exciting to see how good he can be. They will not play Bowe if they don't believe he is ready. It is hard to know what to expect Sunday. The Giants are not just the best team in the NFL (arguably of course) but they are the best traveling team. But it would be very encouraging to see a stout performance.

"WR Dwayne Bowe was running routes and seemingly running them with speed and explosion during the Chiefs practice Friday morning."

Sounds like he's fine to me, play the guy.

Back to football, Bowe is still hurt. The Chiefs should not take a chance on his returning until he is ready. Hammy are difficult to heal and can be damaged more if Bowe returns to quickly. He will be more valuable in a game where there is a chance of a win. All that said I hope Haley does not decide to run no matter what the score is. He was/is the OC so game plan something.

I need some advice. I’ve never really been to KC except the sports complex. Where should I go/stay in the downtown area to catch the best of the city?

Power and light district is my choice, or the boats

I would recommend The Westin Crown Center.

Cassel 2 ints redzone failures all game long ....look at the yardage ....then the score The credit starts w/the QB .....also the loss. Now when we had Vermeil it wasn't the OF fault it was the DF ..... at that time we couldn't score enough points . That hasn't been the case so far this year.PnS

I agree on the oakland game, Cassel put us in a spot to win, simple as that...he hasnt made big mistakes, his first game back of course planting was an issue, timing etc...hes hit two beautiful fades for over 25 yards...thigpen tried 12 fades with no success at one point last year

very excited about leonard pope, I do hope Bowe can play so Wade can dominate in the slot. Pope will open up the field, hes fast, and 6'8

I would like to see Alleman/Ndukwe at C/RG...at least Ndukwe taking over for Goff..

Also more Charles...split the time with LJ at least.

Lawrence needs to become a factor as a 4th WR.

FYI, there are only 2 "at large" games in each teams schedule. The rest are completely determined by your division foes (twice each) and a regular rotation through on division in each league (our division plays the AFC North and NFC East this year).

That is, we always have the same opponents as the Donkeys every year except for two games. This year, they get Indy and New England, while we get the Bills and Jags... so we have the softer schedule. It's just that the Donkeys got their "easy" games early in the season.

As far as the Raider's game goes I say what lost the game were penalties. Especially the late hit penalty on the raiders game winning drive. I was there and that play really seemed to take the wind out of the sails.

I really hope to see a good game this Sunday. I won't be there in person so maybe they will have a chance to win since I haven't seen a win there in person since 2006.

If they can just contain the "over the middle" pass that would be a great help.

Rick,

Yes, "to date" the Broncos have had it easier. No doubt. But in addition to playing the entire NFC East also, they have New England, Baltimore, Pittsburg, and Indy. They had better enjoy that 3-0 mark while they can. Because it'll be downhill from here.

The bronco's do play the nfc east also but to date the chiefs have had the tougher of the two schedule. When I first looked at our schedule I thought if we started 1-4 we would be doing good.

Anonymous says:
"The only game we should have won was the raiders & with better play from the QB we would have."

How is it that the Raiders game was Cassel's fault? I seem to recall him leading the team for what SHOULD have been the game-winning drive with a little over two minutes left to play. If our Defense hadn't gone soft on the Raiders last drive and gave up a touchdown, we would have won.

"with Denver playing much softer teams !!!!"

Ummm, maybe you should take a look at their schedule again. They play as tough, if not a tougher schedule as the Chiefs do. Link below.

Dang I hope both Bowe & DJ are at full speed this week, we obviously need them.

I've been hearing from some Viking fans that this Herron kid is actually a pretty good player. It's just that Minnesota's D is so strong that he got pushed out in a numbers crunch, let's hope that's the case. Our linebacking corps is pretty weak.

With the record we had ......how did we get all these playoff teams.....with Denver playing much softer teams !!!! PnS
