Podcasting: Post-Game Cincinnati with L.J.

From Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati

Here’s a post-game report from the Chiefs locker room after their 16-6 loss to the Bengals.  I’ve kept it short and the real meat here is my interview with Larry Johnson and his comments that he wants out of Kansas City.

Check it out.

Keep up the great work Coach Edwards. ALL of KC is behind you and we know that you will lead us back to glory very soon now.

AND NOW, Clark Hunt has RE-RE-affirmed Herm’s The Man!

Hey Rin………. What are you smoking man?
I just figured all these last 17 weeks you are a really loyal fan and love Herm, but holly cow What are you smoking? No less than twice today we tried some sort of screen that was killed behind the line of scrimage. I thought maybe Marty was on the sideline. We did nothing out of the ordinary, no trickery, no rinkles. Dude Herm and his little fun bunch need to follow the yellow brick road right the hell out of here. Every time they showed Hermmie on the tv today he was looking at the Jumbotron in hopes the results would be different. Insanity is doing the same thing over .. and over.. and expecting different results. What a joke. Rin tin tin my Q to you is Herm is the man to do what exactly??? The coach makes the call however bad they may be and the players try to execute, the TEAM was not prepared to execute. Herm is the man to do what exactly??????????

Let L.J. go we don’t need him and he showed no effort today. He runs faster to cash his check than he did today on the field. Trade him off for what ever pick we can get and draft a kid who wants to WIN. We don’t need another paycheck casher like #27. That # should be banned from future KC jerseys. Have the L.J. tumor removed ASAP. Where is Jackie Battle???

Later LJ, please take Herm and Gun with ya.

  • December 29, 2008  - tm1946 says:

LJ has NO trade value. The chiefs will have to release him and take the hit on cap dollars. Then any team can then sign him FREE. We need to get over it and probably keep him. He can stay a on the chiefs and bitch another year and get paid for nothing.

  • December 29, 2008  - JohnNdallas says:

If he really wants out, he’ll renegotiate his contract with a new team. There are teams out there that will take him, if not now than later.
Injuries possible retirements many things can make a team desperate for a player.

I agree his trade value is minimal, but we can recover a significant amount of his signing bonus thanks to his off-field behavior and that frees up even more cap room. Edwards or not, nobody goes into next year with this team and not some significant additions in free agency in addition to the draft, and we are well postioned for that.
