Indianapolis – Colts head coach Chuck Pagano was named winner of the 2013 George Halas Award, presented by the Pro Football Writers of America to the person in pro football that overcame the most adversity to succeed. Three games into the 2012 season, Pagano was forced to take a leave from the Colts because he was diagnosed with leukemia and had to undergo treatments. He returned at the end of the regular season.

Law & No So Order

Cincinnati – Bengals CB Pacman Jones will speak next week to the NFL rookies as they go through an orientation week. His appearance will come two weeks after he was charged with striking a woman in front of a Cincinnati bar. Jones said he was simply protecting himself in the incident.

Miami – former NFL WR Chad Johnson was released on Monday from a Miami jail after serving a week on a 30-day term imposed by a judge not happy with how Johnson was taking a probation hearing.
