Baltimore – Former K-State LB Arthur Brown had surgery on a sports hernia several weeks ago according to Ravens head coach John Harbaugh. He should be ready for the start of training camp in late July.

San FranciscoWR Michael Crabtree had surgery on Wednesday on his torn Achilles tendon that he suffered on Tuesday in practice. He’ll be out about 6 months.

Other stuff

ChicagoMLB Brian Urlacher announced his retirement after 13 seasons in the NFL with the Bears. He finished his career with 1,229 total tackles, 41.5 sacks, 22 interceptions and 12 forced fumbles. He was selected to the Pro Bowl eight times. Urlacher will be 35 years old this weekend.

Denver – named former center Tom Nalen to the Broncos Ring of Fame. He played 13 seasons for Denver and was tice picked as first-team All-Pro and five times to the Pro Bowl.

St. LouisG Rokevious Watkins was suspended one-game by the NFL for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
