Just A Dad & Daughter In Hawaii

It’s Pro Bowl week in Hawaii and that means a little bit of work for the NFL all-stars and a lot of family time.

That’s what Chiefs QB Matt Cassel is getting done in the picture above. That’s his daughter Quinn and luckily this photo was snapped so she’ll have something to show she made a trip to Hawaii before she celebrated her first birthday.

    Nice pic.

Anyone commenting on Fisher getting fired, owner chose QB Young over HC? Sort of interesting.

Wrong as usual, reported Fisher got fired for wanting to add son to offensive staff and the owner said no and had had enough.

Isnt Young already out? Now they have no HC and no QB……smart decision!!

I would like to throw some praise out to Matt. There are about a dozen QB’s in the AFC that Matt was chosen to the Pro Bowl over. Of the AFC and even NFC) QB’s in the pro bowl, all have been starters for a lot longer than Matt OR were high draft picks and in most cases both.

To have a low draft pick QB who has only started 3 years to be in Hawaii this “early” in his career is something we should not take for granted.

At various times this year I have heard “fans” call for Cassell to be replaced sometimes by a total unknown draft pick and sometimes by an unnamed star QB who isn’t available anyway.

Then I watch these “star” QB’s have a bad game (like Matt does) and thank God we have Matt.

gorillafan, Young still on roster, due big paycheck or release in FEB or MAR. But would you want a team without its HC and dump its QB all at once?

Guys, about Cassel. One tough dude. A NFL grade QB without a doubt. Are there better QBs in the league, probably. But with Haley’s apparent kind of offense, he operates well within those guidelines. Would he do in the Colts system, doubt it or would Payton Manning do well in the Chiefs system, probably. That is the difference, Cassel does what we need to succeed. But he is not the end all at QB.
