If he ever was any good anyhow. Dick Lebeau has learn how to adapt with all the new things offensive coaches doing on offense. And some of you Chiefs fans stop making excuses for this guy you all sound foolish. I hear some of you say well Herm brought him down wrong. Prior to Herm's arrival when he was with Vermeil the defense was horrible. He was one of the guys that wanted Ryan Sims had did that work out so I don't want to hear he didn't have the players. As for when Herm got here in 06 and 07 season the defense ranked in the top 18. So actually Herm help improve the defense with his arrival. I heard some one mention personel. Gunther was one of the coaches who wanted us to go after Kendrell Bell how did that work out. So bottom line he's a garbage coordinator that got too much credit for Marty's success here. He showed his true colors after Marty left. He sucked in KC and is sucking in Detroit. HE'll be fired or will resign there soon. Gunther is whinning because he’s washed up. He remains today...one tough customer. His best days may be behind him, but he brought some good football to KC. Turn people loose on the quarterback its as simple as that. We don't have the safeties to do that yet but we do have the DB's, we just need some one special who has a nose for that angle. Bobby Hebert had just thrown 6 INT's against the Saints, and after telling us he would go fishing, he basically blamed the new system, changing times.... its all the signs of a guy that is done. During his last stint with the Chiefs Gun had Herm meddling with things and it was pretty obvious the two styles of D didn't mesh well.
