Chiefs Update 11/20

From the Truman Sports Compex

It was a quiet Thursday around the Chiefs practice facility.  The team held a indoor practice that was just under two hours long.  The door to the roster did not swing open.

And, there was good news as TE Tony Gonzalez returned to practice.  Gonzalez missed Wednesday’s work because of a sore knee, an injury he suffered last Sunday against New Orleans.  But he was back to work on Thursday and was a full participant in practice.

So where DE Tamba Hali, LB Derrick Johnson and CB Brandon Flowers, so it looks like those three defensive starters will be back on the field  this Sunday against Buffalo.

Limited in practice work were LB Pat Thomas, CB Pat Surtain, S Jarrad Page and WR Mark Bradley.

Held out of practice were RG Adrian Jones and LB Donnie Edwards.

I truly believe the biggest and most profound Chief’s update this season will be:

    1) The Chiefs announce a new coaching staff and GM

2)Clark Hunt grows a pair and sends some tough love to the players

    We’re in freefall folk. Freefall.

Who has a worse record over the last 19 games, Detroit or Kansas City?

    KC 1-18
    Detroit 2-17

Detroit has lost 11 in a row. Does anyone know who Detroit’s last win was against? It was against the Chiefs in game 15 of last season.

But that’s alright since we all know what really counts are moral victories. If you add up those moral victories and throw out all losses were Herm was hamstrung by rookies and injuries, the Chiefs are best team in the league! Of course that was SARCASM.

On the bright side, anyone know who Kansas City and Detroit’s two other combined wins came against? That’s right, everyone’s favorite Denver Donkeys. Detroit beat Denver 44-7 on November 4, 2007.

Good to hear guys coming back this is a game we can win. Its just a matter of players wanting it more than the Bills on Sunday.

We are getting some back so all the guys, who love the subs who probably not make it past training camp, can get a grip and get over it.

Bigger problem more and more fans are getting POed with the season. One comment “I will care about the Chiefs when Clark does”. Tickets are dirt cheap on craiglist. The chiefs are a walking PR diaster and they seem to be unaware of the dislike they are generating. Their fan base will be hard to re-establish when (if) clark decides to break loose and put a decent team on the field.

can anyone (especially bob) please tell me what, if any, contribution to the team jeff webb is making that makes his roster spot worth wasting. does he even play? what the hell? couldnt that spot be better filled by some one with a chance to make an impact on special teams. come to think of it, an impact at all. webb has no chance of making this or any other team next year, so why waste a roster spot when so many other positions need help? when looking at the chiefs depth chart, that looks to be the one major wasted spot.

does this make sense to anyone besides herm?

I agree with kcfan. With Bowe and Bradley, we have our starting WR’s and some back-ups with Frankin and Darling. We could easily pick up a scrub somewhere if we took and injury along that front.
I’m loving Bradley’s game so far. Can you imagine what he could do oposite of Bowe with another year in our offense under his belt and going to training camp with us?! He complements Bowe and once Frankin gets up to speed, we’d have a great stable of young WR’s on the team.
Ditch Webb and get some more help for special teams and the secondary!

Keep up the great work Coach Edwards. ALL of KC is behind you and we know that you will lead us back to glory very soon now.

AND NOW, Clark Hunt has RE-affirmed Herm’s The Man!

Webb’s contribution to this team is to be friends with chiefs employee Marcus Edwards.

It helps Webb’s cause that he’s been eating turkey at Herm’s house on Thanksgiving for the last 8 or 9 years.

    Herm sucks.

Glory glory hallelujah - glory glory hallelujah, glory glory hallelujah, Herm’s truth is marching on!

The rest of you’s guys…BACK OF THE BUS OR UNDER - TAKE YOUR PLACES EVERYONE!

    heh heh heh

    :-)
