Chiefs Sign Tryout Cornerback

From the Truman Sport Complex

The Chiefs had three tryout cornerbacks working with the defense during the three-day mini-camp and they signed one of them on Thursday afternoon.

Vince Agnew will stick on the roster for now, joining a crowded battle for the last two or three cornerback spots on the 2013 roster.

Agnew, 5-10 and 196 pounds, appeared in four games with the Dallas Cowboys in 2012, spending most of the season on the team’s practice squad. He came into the NFL out of Central Michigan as an undrafted free agent in 2011 with the Miami Dolphins.

With the Chippewas where both RT Eric Fisher and OLB Frank Zombo were teammates, he played 47 games and had 161 tackles, one interception, one forced fumble and three blocked kicks.
