Chiefs Practice Report/Update – September 17

From the Truman Sports Complex

In what amounted to their only real practice in preparation for Thursday night’s game in Philadelphia, the Chiefs hit the field early Tuesday afternoon.

Not taking part in that activity was starting TE Anthony Fasano and it now appears highly unlikely that he will be available to play against the Eagles. Fasano suffered a sprained ankle in Sunday’s game against Dallas, left the field, got re-taped, went back and played but then had to leave the game again.

Head coach Andy Reid indicated that the rest of the injured list would have some participation in the practice. The key players in that group would include starting LT Branden Albert (shoulder) and starting LCB Brandon Flowers (knee).

Here is the practice report for both teams from Tuesday:

Full participation – OT Branden Albert (shoulder), LB John-Michael Johnson (neck), DE Mike DeVito (neck), LB Nico Johnson (ankle), LB Dezman Moses (toe).

Limited participation – CB Brandon Flowers (knee), TE Travis Kelce (knee).

Did not practice – TE Anthony Fasano (ankle).

Full participation – CB Brandon Boykin (quad), TE Brent Celek (shoulder), CB Bradley Fletcher (concussion), C Jason Kelce (thumb), OT Dennis Kelly (back), LB Mychal Kendricks (groin).

Did not practice – CB Brandon Hughes (hamstring).

Are practices closed to the media right now?

Dang! It sure would have been nice if Moeaki could have stayed healthy. KC really needs another receiving threat.

All these dinged up TEs for the Chiefs and around the league makes the remarkable career of Tony G even more incredible.
