Chiefs Make Roster Move at Linebacker

From the Truman Sports Complex

ILB James-Michael Johnson was placed on the injured-reserve list on Tuesday by the Chiefs because of the ankle injury he suffered last Sunday in San Diego.

To take his place, the team signed 30-year old linebacker Robert James.

The 5-11, 224-pound James was selected in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons where he played through the 2012 season. James was released on the final cuts before the start of the 2013 regular season and was claimed on waivers by Baltimore. He played in the regular season opener against the Broncos, but was then released.

James has played in 19 NFL games over 4 seasons with 11 total tackles.

He will wear No. 59.
