"Rin Tin Tin"

- how I love that name mine! Anyway... yes, what is it now?

"I just went did some home work"

- wonderful... whatever keeps you from loitering here the blog...

"and"

- and?

"well"

- well?

"now I am here"

- can't get anythin' past you(rself), huh...

"to tell what I have learn about the Chiefs and Raiders rivalry"

- one wouldst have to but look at your classmate Jethro Bodine who like you graduated all the way from 6th grade... cipherin' and, like... stuff

"The Chiefs lead the regular season series 51–44–2"

- the Raiders have won 3 Superbowls & appeared in 5 total - KC has won only 1 & appeared but twice

Oakland has also won 16 AFL/AFC West Titles, KC only 7

"And also The Chiefs are ahead in playoff match-ups with a record of 2-1."

- and also the Raiders are ahead in playoff wins & percentage: OAK 25-18 58% - KC 8-13 38%

All Time W/L records too:
OAK 405-324-11 - KC 381-347-12

"The Chiefs are one of two teams in the NFL with a winning record against the Raiders (with 10 or more contests)."

- from 1966-1969 (Chiefs greatest years/teams), OAK beat the Chiefs 7 times in 10 games

Also, the Raiders have 13 Hall of Fame players, KC only 9

"The two teams met in the 1969 AFL Championship Game at Oakland and the underdog Chiefs won 17-7."

- the two teams met in the 1968 AFL Playoff Game at Oakland and the underdog Raiders won 41-6...

"The Chiefs participated in Super Bowl IV a week later and defeated the NFL’s heavily favored Minnesota Vikings. It was not until 1976 that Oakland would finally win their first Super Bowl championship."

- the Raiders have participated in 5 Superbowls, the last one in 2003... the Chiefs in only 2, the last one in 1970.

In '69 when Rin's Chiefs backed into the playoffs they actually finished 2nd behind Oakland, & only a fluke 1 year wild card system allowed Kaycee to even enter the post season.

"So yes thanks too"

- don't mention it, you little rag picker...

"your little"

- no, I'm epic; you are a-

"rant of half truths"

- yes, and expert proponent bad English...

"and hate I went and check all that fun stuff out"

- well if you learned to hate yourself for doing that then Rin can & certainly will learn to hate you too...

"And what is “Boney nee Napole(an)?"

- again, if you're not certain the why ask...

"Other than that"

- be those, them's & they's...

"have a great day peace"

You know, with the O Line playing like it is, I find myself praying that Cassel DOESN'T play against the Ravens. I think it would be a tremendous setback for the team if Cassel gets broke in half in the first game of the season.

Someone needs to investigate the relationship between Al Davis and The Kraft Family. The raiders are single handedly keeping the New England dynasty alive. First with the trade of Randy Moss for pocket change, now a first round pick for Seymour.

IF he even shows up for the raiders this year, he will ask for way more money than Oakland will pay when his contract expires.

Alan S, we may seem him in a few years..

If Pollard is signed before week 2/is on a roster week 1, his entire '09 salary must be paid to him ...in these economic time$ NFL teams be more wary than e'er trying to save dollars (look at all the dough Jr. in KC 'hasn't" $pent) Pollard will more likely be signed after the week 1 games be in the books.

Hmm...the Raiders need safety help. Rin wonders as He wanders - "how would old Bernard look in Silver & Black week 2 laying the WHACK to KC?"

The 1967 Oakland Raider's "11 Angry Men" (with the added benefit 42 years & copious poundage) - this is what ‘Sacrifical Mutt’ i.e., any QB KC will be staring across at - and 'they' staring right back.

All pros aplenty being the operative word - 2008 DEFENSE RANKED #1 in the NFL 236.8 yards per game - #1 vs the pass 147.2 yards per game - #5 vs the run 89.5 per game. Points allowed per game - 9.8 - oh, and 33 sacks/26 ints too just for s***s and giggles.

DT Ngata 6'4 345
NT Gregg 6'0 315
DE Price 6'5 290
LB Suggs 6'3 260
LB Gooden 6'1 235
LB Lewis 6'1 250
LB Johnson 6’3 265
CB Washington 5’11 180
FS Landry 6’0 220
SS Reed 5’11 200
CB Foxworth 5’11 180

DE Pryce v KC's Npoopwe or O'Callagag RT ought to be a real hoot - Suggs v Albert - Ngata and Gregg shutting down the middle - Reed and Landry having no TE to worry about so helping out wherever they please.

Alright Bama BC, you'll be first Christian thrown to the Lions - you do have AFLAC, yes? Tyler have your flack jacket affixed - Pat Way Mutt G you'll help carry the stretcher- and Ca$$el you just sit there and count your ble$$ing$.

just my opinion but, i have ran out of patience with Derrick Johnson, i don't care if he starts or not. With all the crying over Benard Pollard why hasn't anybody claimed him off of waires just yet( as of Monday 1:24 p.m. pst). Is O'Callaghan gonna be the starter by week 2? I like Jarrad Page and i hope he will be the starter because i haven't seen anything thats warrants him being sent the bench( but i don't get to see Chiefs games outside of Preseason on Nfl network at ungodly hours. i read an article that says the Patriots traded Richard Seymore to Raiders because they've failed miserably in the last three drafts( Belichick or Pioli). In any case true Chiefs fan. go Chiefs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was heartened by the news that Flowers was good to go. That young kid is a gamer. Also, Washington has acquited himself very well in the pre-season so the CBs are becoming a solid part of the defense.

Also not lost on me was how quickly O'Callaghan got his young butt into KC and onto the practice field. Then we have a castoff guy from the Fish as the designated starting RT which gives one pause, not to mention the QBs.

Still, it's, on paper, better than what we went to war with in 2008 so hope continues to spring eternal but I'm not brimming with the inner glow of confidence that the Chiefs are ready to put the big hurt on the Ravens.

Cassel is the best QB on this team by far. Get off his back and let him recover properly. I say, let Croyle be the sacrificial lamb against the Ravens defense and then put Cassel out there for the home opener against Oakland. By that time, Cassel should be 100%, the offensive line will have some extra time to gel with Ndukwe in there, and the fans will know for sure that Cassel is the best option for now.

Also, if Goff doesn't get his act together, the Chiefs should try Alleman at RG. At least Alleman and Ndukwe have some experience playing together so there should be some chemistry.

im stating a fact, you dont pay that kind of money to a QB to sit, did favre sit? no....you play through it, cassel knows this, the only way hes held out is if there is a high chance of another injury.

Woe Alex you're being ridiculous with that comment. IF he doesn't play he's not a franchise quarterback. Be serious. This isn't a playoff game or championship this is week 1 of a long 16 game season. My thing is if he's not 90 to 95% he needs to sit out this one. Allow Croyle to get those reps and be ready for week 1. Its a long season no need of putting him out there against one of the toughest defenses in the league during the first game of the season. Especially if he's still going to be hobbling around that offensive line of ours. We can't risk this guy getting reinjured in the first game of the season.

Right now its better for this team to be safe than sorry. This isn't late in the season where we're in a playoff hunt, this is week 1. If he's not in the 90s percentage wise of being healthy then he should sit this one out. And allow a healthy Croyle to build some continuity with the first team guys.

•QB Matt Cassel was in full pads and practicing with the team. He wore a brace on this left knee and did all individual drills that the QBs participated in
