“You play to win the game.”

A Quiet Day In River Falls

From River Falls, Wisconsin

The Chiefs arrived back here at UW-River Falls around 3 o’clock Friday morning and the players had the rest of the day off.  They have to be back in the dorms by 10 p.m. Friday night  In fact, they’ve been told the head coach will do bed check tonight to make sure everyone is back where they belong as they begin the final week of camp.

They’ll get back to work with meetings in the morning and then an afternoon practice on Saturday.

From the Thursday night victory over Chicago, the Chiefs had a very light injury report.  No major problems, just a few bumps and bruises and may keep several players from getting to work over the weekend.

But absolutely nothing major has turned up in the training room.

Among those already injured, DT Glen Dorsey (knee) may begin practice work early next week.  Herm Edwards said there remains a chance he’ll be able to play next weekend at Arrowhead Stadium against the Arizona Cardinals.  Also LB Donnie Edwards (hamstring) should return to practice on Monday.

No immediate work coming for RB Kolby Smith (groin), DE Trevor Johnson (concussion) and LT Branden Albert (foot).

One Response to “A Quiet Day In River Falls”

What does Herm mean by “there remains a chance Dorsey will play in the next game”? Why wouldn’t Glen Dorsey be able to play next weekend against the Cardinals? Shouldn’t the “week to 10 days” be over by then?
