This decision was worth $2mil plus to the Chiefs. And one that certainly took alot of courage. Now that it is done we can all know our TEAM is going in the right direction with the right 53. It does not matter how you begin the game, it is how you finish it. The same will hold true with our season, if the pull together and finish with determination this season will NOT be in vain. I really feel this will be the beginning of the turn around.

In Coach Haley I trust... now we ALL should.

It is about the TEAM and the right 53!!

GO!! CHIEFS!!

Well it's finally over. Pioli and Haley made the right call keeping him at the start of the year. He was untradable with his contract and past history. Pioli hoped LJ would be for KC what Corey Dillon was for the Pats a few years back. IE, put his baggage down at the door and play hard all year. We didn't have much talent on offense, so I can see the mentality behind giving the ball to a one time Pro Bowler 25 times a game and trying to eek out some wins while Cassel and the line develop.

It didn't work out, we snaked 300K's worth of LJ's "cake" and now he's gone and the fans are happy. Well, we're happy with THIS transaction anyway. We have gone 3-30 ever since that loss to the Packers back in 2007 when LJ waived the Chiefs flag in the end zone. Perhaps that cursed us and now the he's gone, the curse will be lifted.

I can't keep from thinking Pioli and Haley spoke about this right after it happened and started putting out their feelers to what was out there for LJ. You can't bash you head coach and still be part of the team. If LJ didn't get the hook, he could have very well lost the entire locker room.

KC is starting a new chapter with new leaders and a new supporting cast. I'm excited to see what our other 3 backs will do this year and who else will be added to the roster before years end.

CK-30...says
"teenage looking/behaving HC"

Are you serious???...teenager looking? This can only be read as hilarious, considering Haley has a 5 o'clock shadow by halftime and a receding hairline. I don't know many teens with those issues.
Not sure what you mean by teenager behaving....wait, have you somehow mistaken Todd Haley for former Chiefs RB, Larry Johnson?

Yeah Tim!

I agree with everything you just said. There seems to be a lot of 5 year olds posting on this website. LJ doesn't have the offensive line sealing off 10 yards per carry anymore and can't make plays on his own.

Jamal Charles can get yards on his own. Give Jamal the ball.

Yay, another Pioli/Haley-hating crybaby.

Maybe LJ is gone because he sucks now. Did you think of that one, or were you too busy coming up with more items on your endless list of things to complain about?

"How could Pioli hire a caoch who has never played football," you ask? Maybe it's because Pioli knows more about football than you do. Did that cross your mind, or were you too busy pretending you have more football knowledge than people who have worked in the field professionally for decades?

"Does anyone else notice Pioli only signs Parcells/Belicheat castoffs?" Factually incorrect. Did you conjure up any other "points" out of your imagination that you need to have addressed? Gotta love people who try to backup their arguments with things that aren't true.

If anyone took the time to look up the twitter crap...it was very lame. Pretty clear Pioli and his HC were looking for a way to dump our best player.
Tony G gone for a 2nd (next year), LJ gone to protect our teenager looking/behaving HC, I would guess DJ is next since he's the best player left.

How could Pioli hire a guy who NEVER played football? Never hit or been hit. Why would a HS player listen to this foul mouthed punk, let alone a NFL player?

Does anyone else notice Pioli only signs Parcells/Belicheat castoffs? Very shallow pool of mediocre talent there.
We are screwed!

LJ is the same guy he has always been. All Pro or stumble bum. Why anyone thought he would change because Haley was HC, is just amazing to me. He is gone and we have 3 RBs to see if they can fit (based on last game where no one was the featured back for the entire game). Good luck to LJ and good luck to us.

I am obviously not the brightest pea but does anyone know if other NFL franchise that chose to scrap a team and a season to resurrect it in the future? Someone from another city and has seen it done this way, please, help me?

I mean lets be real Haley tried to give this guy a chance. A clean slate but he spit it back in Haley face. He deserved to be gone. He's 30 year old man that still act like a child when things don't go his way. I will say this though at least he's a competitor. He could have stayed in KC and just took all of Clark's money and not cared much about being productive or winning, so at least him showing frustration with the losing shows he's a competitor even though he didn't handle it like a professional

Yeah he wasn't productive. Another off the field incident. Through coach under the bus after head coach took up for him when everyone else had turned their back on him and wanted him gone. Yeah that preety much sums up the totality of the situation.
