X-rays Negative For Charles

From the Truman Sports Complex

Precautionary x-rays on the foot of Jamaal Charles were negative Friday afternoon, showing no problems for the Chiefs running back.

Charles left the OTA workout earlier in the day after someone stepped on his foot. Head coach Andy Reid did not consider the injury to be anything serious, but the team’s No. 1 offensive threat was sent for x-rays just in case.

Whether Charles will be able to take part in next week’s 3-day mini-camp remains unknown. There’s always the chance he could be held out for precautionary reasons.
