The disconnect between Pioli and Haley and the KC fan base is profound.

(I would include CH, but everytime I see some Dallas Texans merchandise, I am reminded the disconnect THERE exists, not that Lamar Hunt and the history of the league are not to be acknowledged and rejoiced, but,…I digress…)

Pioli, et al, should lay down that card, dump LJ now and collect the gi-normous bounty of gratitude this city would bestow upon them. Maybe he (Pioli) is saving the card for when he really needs to use it..

You talk as if LJ will certainly remain on the team and Haley will have to deal with him. This isn’t about his “tweets” on Haley any longer. LJ escalated this beyong that with the slurs. This will be an NFL and a team problem. My bet is that he is suspended without pay for 4 games and then released, if not released outright. This team has enough PR issues and now GLAAD is petitioning the NFL for punishment of LJ. I don’t believe the NFL or the Chiefs are willing to “work with” a RB averaging less than 3 yards/carry over this. He will be an conduct example for the rest of the league.

Completely disagree with you Mr. Gretz. Its obvious to myself, and most everyone else that this is a big deal.

He not only said negative things about his head coach, but he said negative thing to the fans. For every action there is a reaction.

The reaction from the fans is clear: We dont want LJ anymore, and we dont want him to the chiefs all time leading rusher.

And LJ should thank Haley for being in his “corner” from day one. Haley has had nothing but positive things to say about LJ since he got here. I certainly hope so. Besides mouthing his coach and the public homophobic slurs…LJ hasn’t done a damn thing on the field this year. One way or another, it’s time for someone different at RB for the Chiefs.

If LJ had a problem with Haley, he should have done it man-to-man behind closed doors. And using the gay slurs just shows his ignorance.

Lets say your boss was fired and your at work, the new guy comes in and starts yelling at you to work harder, when all along you have been doing your job decent, yet this guy is a blowhard and wants you to do things his way not the way you have done it for years. then you start seeing guys that have been at your place of employment for the entire time you have been there getting canned, he is still yelling, things aren’t getting better at work. The products sold or whatever are not going up and still more yelling, at what point would you say screw this and stop actually working hard for this guy?? It looks like to me about 7 weeks… I think he has lost his work force!!!

LJ is over. He’s trying to lay blame on someone else which is what little boys in diapers do.

When the going gets tough, LJ blames the coach— on Twitter. LJ would never hold himself accountable. That’s what a man would do. And LJ doesn’t take Haley on with substance, but with a B.S. non-sequitor about playing football and good coaching— as if Herm was a great coach because he played in the league. If playing in the NFL was the key to being a good coach, then Terry Bradshaw would be coaching the Steelers.

Judgment and wisdom are the result of a balance of IQ and maturity. LJ may be a very bright man, but his immaturity is so great he has very poor judgment.

Too bad. Hope the door doesn’t hit him in the ass on the way out. It didn’t have to end this way.

Pioli and Haley have said repeatedly that they want “certain types of players” and only want players on the team that WANT to Chiefs. It’s time to prove it.

And to answer your question, Jason…yes, I think it will be sad to have LJ hold the Chiefs rushing record.
