Well guys, my prediction didn't come true tonight anyway. Cleveland BLEW IT big time. What an exciting game though. Brady Quinn looked good except for that final drive. Kellen Winslow and Braylon Edwards may be talented, but what a couple of boneheads. They both made some big mistakes. Also, the Browns defense looks like hot garbage! I thought OUR defense had problems! After Torain went down injured again, Denver was down to just Peyton Hillis, a 7th round fullback to carry the ball. Cleveland STILL allowed Cutler to throw the ball all over the yard.

Cutler's the man, but Denver keeps getting players hurt. RB Torain, TE Scheffler, TE Jackson, and LB Webster all left the game with injuries. How much can Denver have left in the tank? Cleveland stinks worse than that river of theirs that's always on fire.

I dont know why anyone would be talkin about drafting a quarterback still, have you seen Tyler? He is not the reason the Chiefs are losing. In fact you cant ask a quarterback to play much better. He needs a little improvement in the fourth quarter which will come with experience. The whole thing is everyone needs to settle down a little bit. Fact is if this coaching staff cant have a winning record the rest of the season or even go 4-4 , then obviously they need to go! We have to give them that , making a change now? Herm doesn't deserve to be treated like Ron Prince

Colby , if we win all the DIV. games and ONE of the four others ,there is a MAYBE ! on the table. New Orleans-Bills-Miami are at home , Bengals are on the road-----The only game they have won is Denver. If this happens no one will see it comming , no one around here is thinking its possible, so how would any one in the NFL see it comming . Just rember that you saw this , when Rich was saying C H I E F S --O yah, 1 & 7

@Colby and others,
I don't want to make the playoffs with a 7-9 record. That would be embarrassing and humiliating.

However, if we build off our recent two close losses to teams with winning records, and win all our remaining AFC West games, and then we win all the home games against non-AFC West teams, then we end up 8-8 and on a 7-1 streak. Or, if we lose only to the teams that currently have a winning record, then we end up 8-8 and on a 7-1 streak. Either way, we probably win the division.

And thus, at 8-8, we'd be entering the playoffs on that 7-1 streak. We'd probably be in a good position to at least put a scare into someone, if not pull an upset.

What about Tim Tebow from Florida? I think, since the Chiefs are all about a players makeup and character, he would be someone to look at if he comes out for the draft.

Colby, you know you are right. How strange to basically control your own destiny when your team is only 1-7.

Just a little speculation that might go right out the window after tonight (if DEN wins) but I've been bringing it up now for a couple weeks and I'm doing it again.

Denver looses tonight, we beat San Diego on Sunday, and an excellent Panthers team drubs Oakland in the Bay. Here's what the AFC West would look like:
Denver 4-5
San Diego 3-6
Oakland 2-7
Kansas City 2-7

This division would be wide open the scenario above is certainly not out of the question! Our chances of winning this division would then be very realistic because we'd still have the opportunity to play all three of these teams again thus handing them each another loss. A longshot? Absolutely, but I would hope that Herm has these young players informed and that they all know that this season is not a wash yet!

Yeah, it's pretty crazy that they are leading the division with a record of 4-4. We have the worst division in football right now (win wise), and the NFC West has the 2nd worst. The streaks for the AFC west teams are as follows:

Team Streak
Den. Lost 3
SanD. Lost 2
Oak. Lost 2
KC Lost 4

WOOHOO!!! (At least we are showing signs of improvement...)

I'm so glad we didn't pull the trigger for Quinn. He's definately not worth 2 1st round picks. He couldn't even beat out Anderson for the starting QB position. Whats that say about him? We can sit back and hand pick our franchise QB next year in the draft! Please Lord, let Bradford come out early!
