Taking One For the League

That’s the NFL and Chiefs No. 1 draft choice Eric Fisher “apparently” taking a blow from a young football camper during a clinic held Tuesday in suburban Cleveland.

Fisher and the rest of the Chiefs draft choices are taking part in the 4-day NFL Rookie Symposium. After two days of hearing from speakers, the AFC players got out on the field to work with young football campers.

They’ll wrap things up on Wednesday with a trip and tour of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

Speaking Tuesday morning on the NFL Network, Fisher was asked about the status of his contract – he’s the only Chiefs draft choice without a deal.

“I leave that all up to my agent,” Fisher said. “When my agent gives me a call and tells me it’s time to sign, I will be there to sign. Hopefully, I can get mine done soon.”

Regardless of the result, Fisher shows good knee bend!

Not sure what we were going to read with title. I understand the NFL will begin to make commercials in support of Obamacare. I hope the DL can explain “exchanges” to me. Sorry, senior moment, the VA provides my healthcare, so I do not really care that much.

Interesting photo. I’m think that Fisher’s painful expression is not from the blow to the gut, but from the camper that appears to be emerging from his rear carrying a football! That would be truly painful!

I’m completely disgusted that the NFL may engage in the distribution of government propaganda about Obamacare. I pray the Chiefs are not one of the teams involved. I can barely wait for my healthcare to be controlled by the compassionate folks who brought us the IRS and NSA.

I hope that is not his “O” face.

    Go CHIEFS!

I don’t suppose there’s any chance we can leave the political discussion to sites dedicated to those topics?

I think that when the NFL shills for the government, it becomes a fair item for discussion on an NFL site.

I’ve heard nothing about the NFL coming out in support of Obamacare. Has there been something on the NFL network or elsewhere where they are supporting Obamacare? I’ve seen ads on NFL network regarding pension benfits for retired players who may be elgible. I’ve seen nothing else. I too hope that we can keep political issues off this site.

Niblick, other sports and general news sources have reportsed the thte NFL and certain NFL franchises will be promoting the implementation of Obamacare and enrollment in certain programs during the upcoming season.

I think that the NFL risks offending large blocks of it’s fans when it chooses to endorse any particular political agenda. I’d prefer that they stick to football only.
