Like Len said, ” not to many positives.”

  • December 31, 2008  - Rin Tin Tin says:

Len mentioned attitude: other guys not applying themselves like a Gonzalez for example…too many coaches?, lack of attention (to detail, your own job & getting better/study habits, etc.)… guys more concerned with ‘Show’ – as in boat (Dwayne?, big-hitters on defense who whiff more than they decleat) etc.

A lack of pride in bettering themselves for the TEAM. ‘That’ is not so much about coaching any, it is about heart within the man, each & every.

    :-(

  • December 31, 2008  - ED says:

Sounds like to me Len is questioning the coaches. When you say things about guys not being prepared every week and making the same mental errors thats questioning the coaches. Also Len mentions not making excuses about losing like we were close in games and making progress but not winning all things I’ve heard Herm say in press conferences.

Just sound likes to me Len is on board with us getting a new head coach because of those things and I agree after watching that Bengals game I have to agree with you Len.

Also guys ESPN is reporting we’re putting a full court press on trying to get Pioli. All I have to say about that is if you like him Clark and he fits what you’re looking for give him a blank check and accomadate him with whatever personel decisions he wants to make whether it be coaches or players.

  • December 31, 2008  - Rin Tin Tin says:

Oh yes, and copious doses inferior talent to be sure…the Chiefs have or lack as twere that in spades.

  • December 31, 2008  - Rin Tin Tin says:

And for the record, Len is on the record (I heard him say this myself) that he would be ‘surprised’ if Herm was replaced. We shall see if & how much wonder doth cross the face of a 7th son of a 7th son if/whence said doth happen…

    :-)

  • December 31, 2008  - JohnNdallas says:

That’s a Lie! I always new you were a one with no integrity!

    Ed,

You called this one right, in reference to Dawson’s comments on the lack of team preparedness. He was speaking about the coaching staff. Was Bob that brought up the lack of talent across the board. And who was it that built 90% of this roster? Ummmm maybe hERM!

  • December 31, 2008  - Rin Tin Tin says:

To quote one Sgt. Schultz – who you remind me of everytime you open your calorie repository – you know nothing.

Yup, Len said it right after Peterson resigned, when he was asked directly about said – no, not proving but rather RE-affirming that you’ve the wherewithall the one legged man an arse kicking contest.

And Len was correct; not a matter of coaching, a matter of pride – self – as indicated.

    You lose, again.

    heh heh heh

  • January 1, 2009  - Rip 'em a new one says:

I always like hearing Len’s take on the current state of the Chiefs. Taking away some conclusions from Lenny’s comments, in my own way of speaking:

    1) The Chiefs have clearly underperformed, have been poorly coached, players have not been held accountable and have gotten comfortale being losers.

    2) Lack of true leadership, especially on defense. How different would the effort be with a Bob Sanders or Ray Lewis on the field shouting at them to do better?

    3) Like it or not, KC has joined the ranks of the Cincy’s, Lions, Raiders et al, as one of the bottom feeders in the league which will make it far more difficult in attracting talent to the team both on the field and in the front office.

    4) A complete overhaul is needed on the coaching staff and many of the indifferent players need to be sent packing.

I think we all knew this re-building would be tough, but I for one, didn’t think it would be THIS tough, did you? Finishing up on a positive note, the team has hit rock bottom so the next direction is upward.

  • January 1, 2009  - Rin Tin Tin says:

Keep up the great work Coach Edwards. ALL of KC is behind you and we know that you will lead us back to glory very soon now.

AND NOW, Clark Hunt has RE-RE-affirmed Herm’s The Man!

MAN! I wish I was perfect like Len Dawson is… I love to listen to him to learn what it is like to live a life without making a mistake…

Give me a break, Len is one of the wost comentators I have ever heard. All you hear from him the entire game is grunts and moans during every play, good or bad, it does not matter. The guy talks like he was the greatest QB to ever play.

He was good, but he wasn’t THAT good. Statistically he is mediocre at best, he just needs to shut his mouth!

I am so sick of how arogant he is. They need to replace him on the radio broadcasts…

  • January 1, 2009  - JohnNdallas says:

    “To quote one Sgt. Schultz”

That’s about your talent level, but do go on, I’ll try to stay awake.

    “- who you”

Yes me! Do try to keep up, I have no patience for daft dogs.

    “remind me”

    Schultz!
    Now come on!

    “calorie repository”

Stop whining about being over weight!

    “you know”

Not yet! You haven’t told me your little fable yet.

    “Yup, Len said it right”

Yes, he was absolutely correct with his assessment on herms deficiencies as a Coach.

    “after Peterson”

No, herm should have been discharged first!

    “resigned, when”

He Hasn’t yet. If he were such a stand up guy he would have.

    “was asked directly about said”

Again, not yet! But it’s only a matter of time.

    “no”

Yes, I’m quite sure of it.

“not proving but rather RE-affirming that you’ve the wherewithall”

Stop suckin up, makes you sound even more pathetic.

“the one legged man an arse”

    I didn’t realize herm wore a prosthetic.

    “kicking contest”

Oh I dunno, Barth hasn’t done all that bad.

    “And Len was correct;”

Yes! We’ve already determined that! Please stay focused!

    “not a matter”

    No, just anti matter.

    “of coaching”

    Yes!

“a matter of pride – self – as indicated.”

Ah Ah Ah no Suckin up.

    You lose, again.

    heh heh heh

Time check: Thursday, January 1, 2009 9:00 p.m. CST…and yup, Herm’s STILL The Man – KC Chiefs Head Coach 2009!

    JohnNdallas says:

    “about your talent level”

    - please, no autographs while I’m eviscerating you…

    “but do go on”

    - ok, turn the other bowel…

    “I’ll try to stay awake.”

    - I’ll revive you with another kick to your pebbles each time you lose consciousness…

    “Yes me!”

    - be patient, Rin knows you’re eager to reach another octave level higher…

    “Do try to”

    - Rin loves it when they beg for more…

“keep up, I have no patience for daft dogs.”

    - you wear your masochisticolicism well…

    “Schultz!”

    - that’s Schlitz, Falstaff!

    “Now come on!”

    - hey, it’s your limited cognitive fund we’re dealing with here…

“Stop whining about being over weight!”

    - then get off my back – and take your hand out of my pocket, lefty…

    “Not yet!”

    - yes, now Barrack…and shave your legs.

“You haven’t told me your little fable yet.”

    - you are to valor as whistling is to in the dark…

    “Yes”

    - a man’s got to know his limitations, whistler.

“he was absolutely correct with his assessment”

    - yes, Rin is applied providence…right-

    “on”

    - exactly.

    “herms”

    - The Man!

    “deficiencies”

    - none.

    “as a Coach.”

    - or as a man. Do you have any idea what being a man entails?

    “No”

    - watch Herm.

    “herm”

    - yes, Herm Edwards.

    “should have”

    - it’s not too late: he’ll be back as Chiefs Head Coach again in 2009. Then you can learn to accept yourself for what you are, as you aspire to more. What was it your ma & pa used to call you, a has-

    “been”

    - that’s right, a has been.

    “discharged first!”

    - oh, they used to shoot at you too? That would explain the twitch in your writing…not so much Vermeil-quick as a dim-wit, yours…has your dad ever been able to live down the disgrace that you brought upon the family name?

“He Hasn’t yet. If he were such a stand up guy he would have.”

    - well, like father like son huh. But, are you certain he hasn’t forgive you?

“Again, not yet! But it’s only a matter of time.”

    - you’re positive?

“Yes, I’m quite sure of it.”

    - ok, but he may just be jerkin you aro-

    “Stop”

    - sorry…just being honest with you again. Say, when you wail in that way like a child, does he chastise you? What does he say to you?

“suckin up, makes you sound even more pathetic.”

    - I like him…he’s gonna make a man out of you yet!

    “I didn’t realize”

    - oh yes, like all disappointed parents he continues to believe in miracles.

    “herm”

    - Herm too in a football sense – he lived it via the Miracle at the Meadowlands.

    “wore a prosthetic.”

    - no, Joe just looked like a stiff when he fumbled…you know, like you on a date, any.

    “Oh”

    - ‘Member? You ‘member.

    “I dunno”

    - just think of the first thing you do when it comes time to impress the girl. What is it you always do first?

    “Barth”

    - which is why you never get to go out with the same girl a second time … as you’ve been told, eat slower & you won’t upchuck so often…that’s the key. Getting beyond the first date becomes a matter that subtle bit of restraint…and aft you master that you can set out for 1st base. Has any girl ever let you date her a second time?

    “hasn’t”

    - well there you go…work on that presentation.

    “done all that bad.”

    - don’t be too hard on yourself – but on the other hand let’s be realistic here…have you considered a vinyl girlfriend?

    “Yes!”

    - that’s probably the way to go in your case.

    “We’ve already determined that!”

    - oh, so you’ve already given her a name- Jill is it? And when she just sits there, & allows you to have your way, what do you whisper in her ear?

    “Please stay focused!”

    - uh huh…and is she responsive?

    “No”

    - sounds hopeless…you two make a great couple. Does it matter to you or her that you won’t be able to hear the ‘rip’ – pitter patter – h i s s deflation’ of little failures around your hovel?

    “just anti”

    - no, Rin just doesn’t understand the nature of that ‘special’ world that you’ve created…does it really matter to you what Rin thinks?

    “matter. Yes!”

    - ok then, I won’t laugh at you…well, not too much. Just one question – when you’re trying to impress Jill, what do you do-

    “Ah Ah Ah”

    - you sneeze in her face?

    “no”

    - oh, you mean that’s your method of charming her? What do you call that, singing or-

    “Suckin up.”

    - uh huh…and what does she do then?

    “heh heh heh”

    - she laughs at you…well, at least you’re used to that. Is that afore or after you use tweezers & magnifying glass to verify your ‘membership?’

Another notch on the .44 of Rin! Intricate & as always, chock full o’ that sheer genius that be me, nee mine. How dallas doth enjoy the taste o’ Rin’s booted paw upon his feeble pate… another win for Rin!
