Cleveland – claimed LB Eric Martin off waivers from New Orleans.

New England – claimed DT Gilbert Pena off waivers from Green Bay; claimed LB Ja’Gared Davis off waivers from Houston.

Cleveland – released CB Trevin Wade (injury settlement).

Detroit – released DT John Drew (injury settlement), DB Ross Weaver (injury settlement).

Retiring minds

LB Aaron Curry – formerly of the Seahawks, Raiders and Giants announced on Wednesday that he was done with football. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, Curry was released by New York last Sunday.

    Hmmm … I was one of those who wanted Pioli to draft Aaron Curry instead of Tyson Jackson.

    Until you have the pedigree of Pioli, the salary of Pioli, and/or the resources of Pioli… crow for you.

    Seriously, every time someone asks for names about GM or coaches or player, I laugh. Give me the Chiefs’ organization and I will make a stab at it, until then this is the “toys in the attic” section.
