Jamaal Named Pro Bowl Captain

The NFL announced on Thursday that Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles was one of four captains selected for the Pro Bowl game, set for January 26th in Honolulu.

Joining Charles as the four active player captains will be QB Drew Brees, DE Robert Quinn and DE J.J. Watt. Charles will be paired with Watt in the new format for this year’s all-star game, while Brees and Quinn will work together. All the playing captains will work with alumni team captains Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders who will draft the competing teams from one pool of players, no matter their team or conference.

That first-ever Pro Bowl Draft is set for January 21-22 in Hawaii and will be broadcast on the NFL Network both nights starting at 7 p.m. CST. All 88 Pro Bowl players are expected to be in attendance for the live shows.

The 2014 Pro Bowl goes off at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu on Sunday, January 26th.
