Dwayne Celebrates His Deal

That’s Dwayne Bowe getting the news on his new contract with the Chiefs from his agent while vacationing with his family somewhere warm. Bowe sent out this picture on Twitter with the comment:

“On vacation till I got the call that changed my life. I wanna thank the Hunt Family & the Chiefs organization.”

He then attached this picture:

OK Dwayne, whether you want to admit it or not, you have been playing with house money since you were drafted in the first round of the 2007 draft. I don’t know how wise you have been with your money, but you had already effectively won the “lottery” in life BEFORE this new contract.

I am happy for you and your family. You have shown that you can be one of the top receivers in the NFL. I am very glad that you will continue to be a Chief. However, all of that is contingent upon you fulfilling the potential that you have shown everyone that you have.

Now here is the deal. Man up and earn your guaranteed money and your game checks. Here is a big time hint, Chiefs Nation does NOT want to see or hear from D-BOWE.

Be a professional and work to be the best at your craft as a reliable, No. 1 receiver. Be as good as the god given physical gifts that you have. Don’t point to the name on the back of your jersey after you make a play and be a team leader. Here is another hint, if you make a play, we ALREADY KNOW WHO YOU ARE, we don’t need you to point at the name on the back of your jersey.

Sincere congratulations on your new contract. It IS life changing. Now it is up to you make sure that CHANGE is for the positive. Both for you personal life and as a team member of the Chiefs.

I know I can be negative on certain things the Chiefs mgmt. do at times but this is one of those times I have a surprise for you. Iam extremely happy that they signed Mr. Bowe to a long term deal. He’s a great Wide Receiver who has made many acrobatic catches and Iam truly happy for him and the Chiefs.

So I’m guessing Bowe gets a congratulatory note from Haley but not Pioli.
