D.J. Makes It 9 Chiefs In Pro Bowl

The devastating knee injury suffered by San Francisco linebacker NaVorro Bowman in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game has punched Derrick Johnson’s ticket to the Pro Bowl.

The Chiefs inside backer was selected Monday to replace Bowman who suffered two torn ligaments in his left knee. Johnson was the first alternate at inside linebacker for this year’s Pro Bowl team.

It’s the third straight Pro Bowl for Johnson. With him in Hawaii for this Sunday’s game will be 5 defensive mates NT Dontari Poe, OLB Tamba Hali, OLB Justin Houston, CB Brandon Flowers and SS Eric Berry. Also making the game are offensive all-stars LT Branden Albert, RB Jamaal Charles, along with punt returner Dexter McCluster.

Starting to wonder about the “pro bowl” award, 10 Chiefs, nice to get some props but….. would have been nicer if whatever they did to earn this showed up during the playoffs or even the last half of the season.

El Cid and I are starting to agree more and think alike. I won’t get into names but I do question some of these 10 if they really did enough to deserve the pick. Must not be really high standards anymore.
