Chiefs Waive WR Mardy Gilyard

The Chiefs cut their veteran roster Thursday night by one – when they released WR Mardy Gilyard.

Gilyard signed with the Chiefs back on February 12th after playing with St. Louis, Philadelphia and the New York Jets. He has 8 career receptions for 78 yards. He was a 4th-round selection of the Rams in 2011 out of the University of Cincinnati.

It leaves the Chiefs with 12 wide receivers as full-team practice begins on Friday.
