To answer the Albert question, today on 610 they said that it looks like Albert will at least miss the first preseason game and the practices to that point.

Not a great indicator, but Bob, I do have to think that the ankle isn't a problem as it is the opposite ankle that he injured last time.

Sounds like a good practice for this young team. I hope it translates well into their understanding of the game and where they stand (or fall, as seems to be the case). Keep up the great writing Bob!

"None of the quarterbacks threw the ball well."
This is the gamble that the Chiefs took during the off-season sticking with Brodie Croyle as the second coming of.... well, what Chiefs QB can we draw back to here? Len Dawson? This is going to be the defining issue of this season. Will Croyle be a real pro? No one else in the NFL seems all that scared of the Chiefs QB competition.

"DT Glenn Dorsey shut down one running play about four yards behind the center."

Even though it was only one play, that is still really awesome to hear! We have a presence on our defensive line again!!! NICE!

Someone else asked this in another one of your blogs and I'm also pretty curious to know what the deal is with the running back situation. It seems like the coaching staff is pretty high on Battle right now. Do you see him making the roster and what would it mean for the other two young guys (Smith and Charles) considering Herm only wants to keep three?

How bad do you think Alberts ankle is. How much practice time do you expect him to lose and do you think he will be ready for the first preseason game against Chicago.
