Chiefs Re-Sign Hall, Dump Powe

With WR-Returner Dexter McCluster missing a second practice because of an ankle injury, the Chiefs made a roster move Friday morning. They re-signed WR Chad Hall, who has been with them for 8 games this season. The 5-8, 187-pound Hall has some experiencing returning punts on the NFL level, with 10 returns for an average of 10.7 yards along with 6 kickoff returns for an 18-yard average.

All those returns came in the 2010 and 2011 seasons when he was playing for Andy Reid with the Eagles. Hall joined the Chiefs on September 1, part of the waiver-wire claims; he’d just been released by San Francisco. He was released on November 13, re-signed the first time on November 22, but then released on December 7th.

In 8 games Hall has caught one pass for 9 yards.

To make room for Hall, the Chiefs waived DT Jerrell Powe who they signed last week. Powe dressed for the game in Washington last Sunday, but did not play.
