Chiefs Practice Report Update – September 12

From the Truman Sports Complex

There were 60 out of 61 possible bodies on the practice field Thursday afternoon as the Chiefs continued preparation for Sunday’s game against Dallas.

The only man missing was CB Dunta Robinson, excused for a second day by head coach Andy Reid to handle personal business.

On Wednesday, RB Jamaal Charles spent most of the media period of practice watching his teammates. On Thursday Charles was taking part in the position work with his running backs and taking handoffs from the quarterbacks. He showed no notice of the quadriceps injury that he suffered Sunday in Jacksonville.

The Chiefs listed him as a limited participant and had TE Travis Kelce (knee) as did not practice.

Everyone else on the injury report, specifically starting RG Jon Asamoah appeared to be taking part in everything.

Here are the official injury/practice reports for both teams on Thursday:

CHIEFS Did not practice: TE Travis Kelce (knee); limited participant: RB Jamaal Charles (quad); full participant: ILB Nico Johnson (ankle), S Husain Abdullah (foot), G Jon Asamoah (calf), LB Dezman Moses (toe), OL Donald Stephenson (shoulder).

DALLASDid not practice: LB Ernie Sims (groin), DE Anthony Spencer (knee); limited
participant: CB Morris Claiborne (shoulder); full participant: QB Tony Romo (ribs), WR Dez Bryant (foot), RB Lance Dunbar (foot), S Danny McCray (hamstring).

I think this Cowboys game is going to give us alot better “barometer” as to where we “really are”. I see them as being a very tough out. Very surprised that we are favored. Maybe I should call my book. Ha-Ha.
