Chiefs Leave Dex At Home For Raiders Game

WR-returner Dexter McCluster has been ruled out of Sunday’s game between the Chiefs and Raiders in Oakland.

The Chiefs are concerned about the infected foot/ankle that turned up this week with McCluster. Test results came back late Friday and indicated the infection was not related to MRSA, the bug that has been talked about so much in the NFL and caused problems earlier this year in Tampa Bay with the Buccaneers.

But leaning towards the overall health of their No. 3 wide receiver and top punt returner, McCluster was not scheduled to be on the team’s charter flight to the Bay Area on Saturday afternoon.

WR Chad Hall was re-signed on Friday for just this possibility, as he has experience returning punts in the NFL. Hall will likely fill that role against the Raiders.
