Chiefs Head To Playoffs After Losing In Overt.ime

Andy Reid rested his starters on Sunday, but the Chiefs put up quite a fight against the Chargers first teamers before losing 27-24 in overtime at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.

The victory punched the Chargers ticket for the playoffs, giving the AFC West 3 teams in the tournament. On Saturday, the Chiefs will play the Colts in Indianapolis, while the Chargers will go to Cincinnati to play the Bengals.

There was plenty to discuss and knowledge to gain after this one. Here is our coverage:

No one went to work today? Whole lot of great posts on various subjects.

Might point out a couple of things:

Did anyone notice how well the OL did or how Daniel seemed to be able to find WRs with relative ease even in his first game – Ask yourself why. They practice together against the first stringers, they are basically a second complete team. Not as good as the starters but when one OL leans left, the guys beside him know what he is going.

Had, my fav. HC, Andy given them a little relief from the resting starters, the game might not have been lost….got tired when it is the first time you have to play iron man football, you position and special teams also.

Game did not matter and while enjoyable to watch, just muddied the waters for Reid and Dorsey before the next draft. You chose who to replace by their LACK of production, not on one hard played game.

If I were Andy I would threaten the starters benching if they play like the last time against Indy….. LOL
