Overall Evaluation: Chiefs dealt their 7th-round choice in 2010 to Miami to pick up pick No. 237 in the ’09 Draft. O’Connell is viewed as potential tight end, H-Back, fullback . He’s considered a good special teams player.

The main question is, what did the Chiefs give up to get this pick?
DJ, Maybe?
Here is a guy we really needed, remember every team has to field a TE.
What a disaster of a draft. Pioli and Haley should both be fired.
I guess we won’t know how this draft will look two or three years from now, but as of today, I am thoroughly unimpressed. No LBs drafted, only one offensive lineman, no significant wheeling and dealing.
UNINSPIRED. Felt like a Carl draft.
John,
Glad to see you back. Couldn’t disagree more with your post.
I wish Herm Edwards was back as Head Coach.
John,
Really?
Saw enough of Herm today. Don’t be discouraged with the draft. Wait until July after he fills in with free agents and maybe a trade. Pioli isn’t a guy who is going to try to draft big names because Mel Kiper says so. They look for the fit. What they didn’t get today they will sign later. It’s all good.
Hopefully LB Leroy Hill will be looked at. This draft was all about fixing Herm’s mistakes, especially along the D Line. Looks like a good job.
